Promoting the benefits of public transport

The number of passengers on public transport has dropped sharply as a result of the COVID-19 crisis. And even though public transport companies have done their utmost to ensure safe travel on trains, trams, buses and the metro, it was necessary to (re)gain the trust of users. This is why SNCB, STIB, TEC and De Lijn joined forces and launched a joint campaign, from 15 September to 6 October, to remind everyone of the benefits of public transport. Viewed throughout the country, this promotional campaign took the form of posters, radio adverts and press inserts.

The campaign reminded people that public transport remains essential for anyone who wants to travel safely, sustainably and comfortably. It remains the perfect solution to traffic jams. As the campaign illustrates, with public transport, it is generally possible to work while travelling, or, for example, to read a book, listen to podcasts, etc.
